Three enforced sections of bus lane on London Road at Langley — one eastbound, one south-eastbound and one north-eastbound — all operating Monday to Friday, 7am to 10am and 3pm to 7pm. Outside those hours general traffic may use them.

Transcribed from Slough Borough Council’s Parking Enforcement Policy (August 2025), whose bus lane enforcement section lists every enforced bus lane and bus gate in the borough with its times, states that cyclists, taxis and motorcycles may use the bus lanes, and sets the penalty for being in a bus lane at £70, reduced to £35.

If Slough Borough Council rejects them it must issue a Notice of Rejection, and you can then appeal free to the Traffic Penalty Tribunal. Its adjudicators are lawyers independent of the enforcing authority, and their decision is binding on both sides. The grounds that win here are that your vehicle was not in the bus lane during its operating times (Mon–Fri 7–10am & 3–7pm), that it was an exempt vehicle, or that the signage did not make the restriction clear. It is worth doing: Slough Borough Council accepted 41% of the 2,192 formal challenges it received in 2025/26, and of the 80 that went on to the tribunal, 6 succeeded (figures from its own FOI response). Note that paying the £35 discounted rate accepts liability and closes the case, so challenge before you pay.
