Slough Borough Council announced on 24 February 2026 (via its official X/Twitter and Facebook accounts) that Farnham Road's bus lane restriction changed: the previous 24-hour section was removed, and the whole lane now operates peak hours only — Monday to Friday, 7am to 10am and 3pm to 7pm — "the same as the Bath Road bus lanes".
The council's Parking Enforcement Policy (August 2025) still describes the old two-section layout and has not been updated to reflect this change. Exemptions match Bath Road under the same A4 Experimental Bus Lane Order (made permanent February 2022): buses, pedal cycles, solo motorcycles, taxis, SBC-licensed private hire vehicles and vehicles displaying a green number plate (zero tailpipe emissions) — confirmed by the council replying to residents' ZEV questions on the same Facebook post.
