About this bus gate
The gate runs outbound from Ripley Street to Rudyard Road, 7am to 11am and 3pm to 7pm, Monday to Saturday. A camera has enforced it since 1 June 2007, making it — with Middlewood Road — the oldest camera on Sheffield's list.
Buses, taxis, pedal cycles and authorised vehicles may pass through. Solo motorcycles may not — Sheffield permits them in bus lanes only, never in bus gates.
Residents of Rudyard Road, Rudyard Mews, Treswell Crescent, Rider Road, Haggard Road and Kipling Road can apply to the council for a permit to drive through this particular gate; no other Sheffield gate has one.
