About this bus gate
This bus gate applies at any time — there is no off-peak period when other traffic may use it. Buses, taxis, private hire vehicles and cyclists may use it.
Private hire vehicles were excluded when the restriction was first made and an earlier version of this page said so; they were added to the vehicle list in 2021. The restriction is the north-east side contraflow lane running south-eastwards from Regent Row to Queen Square.
