About this bus lane
This is a combined bus and cycle lane on the Manchester-bound side of the A580, and it is camera-enforced 24 hours a day, every day — there is no off-peak window when general traffic may use it. Buses, hackney carriages (black cabs), pedal cycles and emergency service vehicles may use it.
Private hire vehicles — including app-booked minicabs — are not exempt. Camera enforcement of the Manchester-bound lane began on 22 January 2018.
Note that the council describes its Manchester-bound camera site as covering Arthur Street to Worsley Road, which may be shorter than the full length defined in the traffic order, so the camera does not necessarily watch every metre of this stretch — the lane and its restriction apply along the whole of it regardless.
