About this bus lane
The Wokingham Road bus lane runs east to west with the flow, from the Eastern Avenue junction to a point 165 metres east of College Road. It applies at any time — the Order sets no days and no hours for it.
Buses, pedal cycles, licensed hackney carriages and motorcycles may all use it; this is one of the Reading lanes that has admitted motorcycles since 2006, long before the 2026 borough-wide change. Private hire vehicles and minicabs may not use it.
If you have seen an older listing saying cycles or motorcycles are banned here, that was wrong — the Order names both. The council lists one camera-enforced section on this road: A329 Wokingham Road (enforced since 13 August 2007).
