About this bus lane
Buses and pedal cycles only. There is no taxi exemption here at all — neither hackney carriages nor private hire may pass, which is unusual for Reading and is the thing most likely to catch a driver out.
Cyclists are expressly permitted. It applies at any time; the Order sets no days and no hours.
Two short lengths are restricted, both on Kennet Island: the westbound one 41.5 metres east of the Whale Avenue junction, and the eastbound one 3.5 metres west of the Havergate Way junction. The council lists two camera-enforced sections here, Lindisfarne Way Eastbound and Lindisfarne Way Westbound, both enforced since 12 November 2015.
