PCN volumes are steady at roughly 10,000–12,000 a year, yet gross income rose from £259,677 to £397,427 over the same period. The fine itself

A bus lane PCN from South Gloucestershire Council is £70, reduced to £35 if paid within 21 days. It is a civil penalty — there are no licence points. The council confirmed the charge amount under FOI (its "pay or challenge" page publishes only the discount, not the amount).
