Bus lane PCNs issued per yearGross PCN income per year
Bus lane PCNs fell by more than a third over the period — from 38,826 in 2021/22 to 24,507 in 2025/26 — and gross income fell in step, from £2.43m to £1.33m. The figures are dominated by one camera: Uxbridge Road at West Ealing (westbound) alone accounted for 15,954 of the 38,826 PCNs issued in 2021/22, and 30,288 over the five years — more than a fifth of every ticket. Several cameras only began issuing in 2025/26 (Belvue Road, Eastcote Lane, Ruislip Road at Northolt and Uxbridge Road at Hanwell westbound), so the recent decline is despite new sites coming online.

The council's data labels some sites inconsistently; near-duplicate labels for the same camera (two spellings of Uxbridge Road at West Ealing, and “The Mall (W5)” versus “The Mall, Ealing”) have been consolidated here, which changes no total. Two separate cameras operate on Pett's Hill and on Yeading Lane, and Uxbridge Road and Greenford Road each carry several — per-camera figures are listed under the council's own labels. A handful of camera rows sit at zero in 2025/26: those sites stopped issuing during the period.

The fine itself
A bus lane PCN from Ealing Council is £160, reduced to £80 if paid within 14 days. It is a civil penalty — there are no licence points. This is the standard London-wide bus lane penalty set by London Councils under the London Local Authorities Act; Ealing did not restate the amount in this response, only the discounted figure appears on its own pages.
