About this bus lane
A buses-only lane — no exemption for taxis, motorcycles or cycles, which is unusual in Plymouth and makes this one of only two lanes in the city that strict. It operates at any time.
The enforcement camera sits at the junction where Leypark Drive meets Leypark Walk, and the council names the site both ways: its Enhanced Partnership Scheme calls the bus lane and the camera "Leypark Drive", while the penalty records released under Freedom of Information call the same camera "Leypark Walk".
It is one camera, it has been enforcing since 17 March 2018, and it issued 994 penalties over the five years to March 2026, averaging about four a week. The Scheme names the road but not the extent — maps showing the extent of the bus lane traffic order are held by Plymouth City Council.
