About this bus gate
A long operating day — 5am to 10pm — on the approach to Leeds Bridge. It is the second of two bus gates on Bridge End, and the two have different hours, so clearing one does not mean clearing the other.
Leeds City Council confirmed in August 2026 that these times apply seven days a week — there is no day on which the restriction lifts. Leeds City Council publishes one permitted-vehicle list covering all of its camera-enforced bus lanes and gates: buses (which it defines as any vehicle built to carry more than 13 passengers), the city’s black-and-white livery hackney carriages, emergency service vehicles, bicycles, and vehicles pre-authorised by the council.
Private hire vehicles — app-booked minicabs — are not on that list and are not exempt.
