About this bus only street
The westerly access road into Lancaster bus station, between the main pedestrian concourse and the taxi rank, is a bus-only street for its whole length at any time. This is one of the strictest restrictions in the county: buses alone are exempt, so unlike most Lancashire bus lanes neither taxis nor pedal cycles may use it.
Lancashire County Council did not include this lane when it listed its camera-enforced bus lane locations in August 2026, so it appears not to have a camera on it — but the restriction itself is live and a police officer or civil enforcement officer can still act on it.
