About this bus lane
A peak-hours bus lane — it runs in the morning and evening peaks on weekdays only, and is not enforced on Saturdays or Sundays. This is the eastern of two separate Old Street camera sites and the two do not keep the same hours: the westbound camera further along at 76–78 Old Street also runs on Saturday mornings, while this one does not.
Hours, camera position and permitted vehicles come from Islington Council's response to freedom of information request 8167665, answered on 12 August 2026, which supplied the council's current bus lane camera list. The council records this as camera site LW0586, enforcing since 2 January 2014.
The council states that its bus lanes are open to local buses, cyclists and taxis; private hire vehicles (for example Uber) are not exempt.
